Wow, what a tough issue.

On the one hand, you've got low-paying, hard-working manual labor jobs that are pretty much considered "undesirable" in our American society today, being done by illegal aliens. The people employing these aliens pay considerably less than they would if a red-blooded American was doing the same work, thus saving the employer money, ultimately reducing costs for the service that company provides and helping the American economy and the American consumer.

Yet these same aliens live largely off government money, don't pay taxes, take jobs away from Americans, remove money from the American economy and pump it into a foreign country through their families, and shoot off their mouths about how sorry we are.

If you are turly just graduating. I see hope for my future and some of those, who you graduate with. Or hopefully someone who see's the future.

The question is what to do. Make all eventually become legal US tax paying citizens, if not go to your home of orginiation.

I know the question will be why the native Americans' didn't say that to us.

We never give them the chance. Almost what you seen today in our Illegal Immigrants in the US.

So what is the answer. A setttled country. We keep only those who are truly Americans.

The rest earn their citizenship or go home.

I think it beats Mexico's idea, of two years in prison, and being deported backk to your country of origin.

Would not most agree. And at least learn the language. English vs Spanish as the national language.

Wasn't until Florida, years ago, that Spanish become our leading national language. Does that not say something in itself.

Make a call and see what your choices are in language. Or if you get a call what does the telemarketer sound like.

And as an American born and bred. Im tired of keeping up every foreign country and all those within this country who are illegal or just to sorry to earn a living.

Not being able to is one thing. But using our system and using it illegal is two different ideas and approaches.

I think the best possible solution is to naturalize those that are already here and are contributing to our economy. If they are working and saving us money, good, let them keep doing it. But now they get to pay taxes just like us, that's just part of it and they need to understand that.

Second, deport those that are not having a positive effect on our country, let them do citizenship the hard way if they really want to be here. Also important to note there wouldn't be many of these, because I bet 99% are here because they need a job.

Third, beef up border security to the point that it is actually effective. That way we can actually control who is coming into and going out of this country.

Maybe not a fix-all heal-all, but I think that would be a positive start. Hopefully one day the "illegal alien" will be virtually a thing of the past.

Indian_Dad and I second those thoughts.

We also both feel that every single one of us are immigrants, with the exception of 100% Native Americans. A good part of my family is here because of some folks sailing over on the Mayflower. The pilgrims were immigrants.
Without the original immigrants you and I wouldnt be here.

How is it that we can sail on over here, slaughter a bunch of folks, take the land, and then get mad when someone new wants to live & work here.

because we aren't immigrants. Yes, our ancestors were immigrants. But not immigrants to USA. When the people came over, this hadn't been established as America, with laws and regulations. There isn't really such a thing as a "native american", Yes, there were Natives who lived here, but not Native Americans, for the fact America wasn't established at that point and time.
Playing the card that we are immigrants, isn't right. It's the same as a black person today, playing the card about being "African-American", which isn't right either.
But I will second the fact, if Americans wont work, and some aliens come to do, let em work.

I agree, if they are contributing to our economy by all means let them stay, but make them pay taxes like the rest of us. The ones that spend their money here in America and live here arent really the problem. Its those who send it back to other countries are what is getting us. If they make the money here in the US and spend it here in the US there is at least some kind of balance, but lots of them send the majority back to their home country. I doubt there will ever be a heal all fix all plan but we could make big strides toward cutting down on illegal aliens if the government would make it more of a prioirity.

As in your post. Those who come here need to learn what being a US citizen is all about. Already here and tax paying citizens. I have no problem with. It's those who are using and abusing our system.

If that means searching out cowards. Search them out. But not at the expense of rebuilding countries, we can no longer afford to do that.
If we have to destroy them and it is justified. Why should we rebuild them? Only if we want to show gratitude and respect to them.

Been awhile since any one besides the always ready to fight British have done that.
We seen how the French have become. On many fronts.

Time we did what was in our interest home land wise and abroad.
